Ladies will be able to have safe affordable accommodation in Monroe for themselves and their children. Enabling them to work and attend outpatient treatment. Churches, local civic groups and individuals are committed to refurbish this old house so that it can be used for recovery. We have volunteers to cleaning and painting, mending roofs and floors, putting in plumbing and laundry facilities. Introduction
Rays of Sonshine is a non-profit faith based organization, licensed by the state to deliver out patient and inpatient care for those that are seeking recovery from substance abuse. It came into being in 1998 and presently has five buildings in the center of Monroe, LA. It has both Clinical and Biblically based recovery programs and works in close association with other government and non-profit agencies who work in this field. Presently our residential facilities are for females only.We are partially funded by the state but the bulk of our funding is from private donations.
